Job description
Managing of factory logistics Operations team/division:
- Regular communicating Ahlers corporate strategy to FL Operations team, providing guidance and direction regarding the business goals, and tracking progress to ensure goals achievement
- Providing leadership through frequent meetings, review, and ongoing communication on department plans, operational objectives, and progress
- On the job training of FL Operations team leaders, providing experience and expertise
- Monitoring and managing expenditures of FL Operations department to ensure effectiveness
- Setting and maintaining SOPs and SLAs for operational procedures, enabling continuous improvement of work performance
- Evaluating processes efficiency, controlling SOPs and SLA execution and initiating correction, if needed
- Reviewing, analyzing & approving reports and other documents from FL Operations team within the field of competency
- If escalated, deciding on complicated cases (e.g. resource allocation, prioritization, solving conflicts, payment issues etc.)
Managing of factory logistics Operations:
- Develop and maintain business models, establish governance, set up continuous business operations
- Define FL Operations service delivery goals, set targets in cooperation with Business Units
- Identify needed resources and create resource plan. Responsible for the capacity planning in line with commercial demand
- Monitor performance, establish KPI systems in line with the company approach and strategic goals
- Ensure service delivery, solution building, calculation of FL service costs
- Establish control of safety compliance
- Manage risks, create mitigation plans, share knowledge of specific risks across organization
- Development of direct reports and FL operations teams
- Manage and execute projects. Conduct project review and evaluate success
- Create commitment for changes
- Responsible for reengineer processes, support transitions, automation, and continuous improvement within FL Operations
- Negotiate with suppliers to identify optimization opportunities
- Prepare information for budget and forecast of FL costs. Responsible for budget execution
- Provide approval of contracts and purchase requests
- Occasional business trips
Specific requirements for the candidates:
- Experienced and effective leader with the ability to build and manage a high performing team
- Professional manager with the ability to structure, organize and follow up working processes
- Strong communication skills able to build effective relations at all levels in the company
- University education, preferable areas: engineering, business management or logistics
- At least 5 years’ experience in warehouse logistics or an industrial environment with responsibility for a workforce of at least 200-500 employees and multiple locations
- Understanding of principles of lean management including a working knowledge of basic tools for process / quality management
- Specific experience of business processes optimization is an advantage
- Clearly demonstrated experience of creating and maintaining a strong safety culture
- Project management experience in the role of Project Leader
- Experience in working with complex (supply chain) clients or processes
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a competitive business environment
- Comfortable with uncertainty and able to manage change within the organization
- A good level of business English / Russian and fluent in at least one of these languages
