Ahlers delivered 500+ MT of oversized steel structures from Vietnam to Mozambique for a major gas development in Cabo Delgado Province. The project required close coordination, engineering expertise and in-house chartering to overcome limited vessel availability, port congestion and a complex discharge operation at Palma Bay.

Ahlers marked a new milestone in Uzbekistan by signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade to explore the development of a logistics hub in Tashkent or Samarkand. The company also reinforced its commitment at a high-level roundtable with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in Brussels.

This case highlights a long-time journey to transport massive steel plant equipment from Gijón, Spain, to Dunkirk, France. With the actual planning starting in February 2023, the project took more than 1,5 years and faced complex challenges that required custom-engineered solutions, including transport frames and overcoming tide restrictions.
