Business Development Manager

Business Development Manager plays a pivotal role in expanding the business, both by nurturing existing client relationships and by actively pursuing new opportunities. Central to this role is the cultivation of a robust network of prospects, making you the primary catalyst for growth. Your primary objective is to enhance the company's revenue streams, driving towards increased profitability and market expansion.

WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM THIS ROLE?

 

Sales

  • Identifying market and customers’ logistics needs and opportunities in an international context through for example: development of partnerships, attending professional exhibitions and events, the existing network, customer appointments/meetings etc. Attend local and regional business events to network and promote Ahlers Logistics
  • Developing, managing and qualifying leads and opportunities. Visit potential customers, and steer to close a deal
  • Building and selling logistics solutions to/from and within central Asia
  • Defining the correct pricing and markup, as well as to provide input for business case calculations
  • Providing accurate input for sales forecasts and strategic development plans
  • Initiating and involvement in the new customer integration process

 

 

Technical Sales Support

  • Analyzing customer requests on feasibility and capabilities of Ahlers Logistics
  • Co-Developing the technical part of the proposal and preparing tender documentation
  • Processing requests for information and communicating with other departments to receive required information
  • Communicating the information, for example tender data in customer formats systems or through mail and presentations, both on- as offline.
  • Developing and updating our CRM database that includes previous tenders analytics & dashboards

WHO IS OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE?

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in preferably logistics or another relevant business domain
  • Understanding and defining the pains of that industry and translating these into logistics solutions
  • Ability to deliver client-focused solutions
  • Proven track record in acquiring new customers in the field of logistics
  • Experience in creating and explaining logistic solutions to customers
  • Knowledge of English at Upper-Intermediate level
  • Hunt and develop (including networking, cold calling,…) international customers located in Kazakhstan and CIS region within specific industry segments, (a plus is experience in Retail, FMCG, Chemicals, Electronics,…)
  • Expertise in working for an international company and reporting to an international manager/director
  • Convincing, communication & negotiation skills
