Ahlers Ukraine is looking for a Freight Forwarding Specialist in Kharkiv. You’ll handle shipments across borders, manage coordination with customers and partners, and stay in control when things get complex. If you like responsibility and real ownership, this role is worth a closer look.
Your Responsibilities
- Organize transports according to company contracts and procedures
- Proactively follow up on transport bookings for loading and unloading in close communication with customers, suppliers, colleagues, and delivery points
- Issue transport orders to suppliers according to operational procedures
- Communicate with suppliers and clients regarding shipment status and transport documentation
- Prepare operational reports according to company procedures
- Work with transport and logistics systems such as Lardi, Transporeon, TMS, and other digital platforms
- Coordinate freight forwarding activities across road, ocean, and intermodal transport operations
Your Profile
- Experience in freight forwarding and transportation operations
- Experience working with international customers and carriers is an advantage
- Knowledge of road transport, ocean freight, and intermodal transport processes
- Basic knowledge of legislation related to import/export activities and international transportation is an advantage
- Ability to set priorities, learn quickly, and solve operational challenges
- Ukrainian – fluent
- English – ability to communicate and correspond in English; intermediate level is an advantage
- Confident user of MS Office (Word, Excel)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage a wide range of operational data and priorities
- Comfortable using logistics software systems, Outlook, internet platforms, and digital tools
- Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced operational environment
- Results-oriented approach with focus on quality and efficiency
