Ahlers Strengthens Partnership with Uzbekistan: New Milestones in Eurasian Connectivity
Ahlers Logistics has taken another significant step in expanding its long-standing presence in Central Asia by deepening its collaboration with the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Last week, Ahlers joined an exclusive roundtable with H.E. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev during his official visit to Belgium, alongside leading European executives and senior EU officials, including EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos. The high-level meeting underscored the growing partnership between Uzbekistan and the European Union, highlighting shared ambitions for sustainable development, innovation, and connectivity across Eurasia.
President Mirziyoyev highlighted the remarkable momentum of Uzbekistan’s economic reforms. Over the past seven years, trade turnover with Europe has doubled, and more than 1,000 joint ventures with European capital have been established. These figures reflect growing investor confidence and the country’s dynamic shift toward modernization and global integration.
During the discussion, Ahlers CEO Dave van den Bos reaffirmed the company’s strategic commitment to the region, stating: “Uzbekistan is one of the key architects of the future of Eurasian connectivity, and we are proud to be part of this change.”

A Trusted Logistics Partner in Central Asia
During the “Uzbekistan Economic Day in Europe” forum, organized by the Europe-Uzbekistan Association for Economic Cooperation (EUROUZ), Ahlers further underlined its commitment to the country by signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
This agreement outlines a Partnership Action Plan, including the consideration of establishing a modern logistics hub in Tashkent or Samarkand. The initiative aims to optimize regional and international freight flows, stimulate trade, and attract investment into Uzbekistan’s rapidly expanding logistics ecosystem.
