John Ots joined Ahlers Logistics as Operations Director in 2024, bringing with him a wealth of experience from a career in logistics spanning several international giants. A Dutch national with family ties to the Antwerp region, John holds a diverse academic background, having studied Logistics Management and Modern History, with additional expertise in Law and International Relations.
In his role at Ahlers, John is focused on elevating operational efficiency and competitiveness, adapting to the ever-evolving demands of the logistics industry. With extensive mergers and acquisitions reshaping the field over the last 30 years, John is adept at navigating both the challenges and opportunities presented by these shifts, as well as leveraging advancements in Logistics IT that allow smaller players to thrive in a competitive landscape.
John is passionate about working in a dynamic, international environment and thrives in a setting that offers constant drive to be better. Beyond work, he enjoys traveling, history, and art. Having lived and worked in various parts of the world, John and his family settled in Belgium over two decades ago, deepening his ties to the region.
