Job description

Senior Specialist Operations & Procurement is responsible for handling customer service, managing their inquiries, as well as communication with suppliers, developing procurement strategies and handling transportation, including the documentation, communication with carriers and service providers.  

LOCATION OF THE POSITION:  Geogia – Poti (start-up location — remote working — no office at this moment)

WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM THIS ROLE?

Direct Procurement

  • Assist in tender procedures, receiving commercial offers from suppliers;

  • Deciding on supplier selection based on key metrics;

  • Support negotiation contract terms with suppliers, signing agreements, addendums;

  • Developing and executing procurement strategies that maximize opportunities to leverage spend, improve quality, optimize cost, reduce risk, etc.

Transportation

  • Processing incoming requests for quotation, gathering additional information from account managers / business units, calculation and quotation of the cost;

  • Execution of service delivery (incl. development of delivery method, loading / offloading monitoring & control);

  • Managing freight forwarding, transport and accompanying documentation; invoices and acts of rendered services from carriers and service providers;

  • Adding information related to operational execution of orders into internal databases.

Customer Service

  • Coordinating and monitoring current services provision;

  • Processing incoming requests from customers;

  • Full transactions support (managing sales orders and collections, processing and sending service delivery documents);

  • Analyzing issues arising during services provision and providing efficient solutions.

WHO IS OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE?

  • Bachelor's degree in preferably Logistics or another relevant domain;

  • Communication & negotiation skills;

  • Work experience and expertise in procurement and logistics;

  • Knowledge of the basics of local customs and logistics legislation, incoterms;

  • Ability to deliver client-focused solutions;

  • Knowledge of English at Upper-Intermediate level;

  • Ability to analyze tariffs and pricing components, conditions for choosing the best quotation.
