The direct procurement project manager is responsible for developing, setting, and maintaining direct procurement procedures with a focus on cost efficiency
JOB DESCRIPTION:
· ownership of Transport Cost Optimization Project (COGS);
· implementing, updating, and adhering to category strategy and internal procurement procedures;
· timely conducting extensive market and supply base research;
· developing and maintaining a list of suppliers incl. defining key metrics (parameters) for supplier selection;
· reviewing and checking existing contracts (incl. capability, price, and quality level, etc.);
· managing procurement projects across a variety of geographies, divisions, and functions;
· developing and executing procurement strategies that maximize opportunities to leverage spend, improve quality, optimize cost, reduce risk, etc.;
· perform value chain analyses and fully understand E2E SC;
· conducting tender procedures, receiving commercial offers;
· conducting commercial assessment;
· deciding on supplier selection based on key metrics;
· negotiating contract terms, signing agreements, addendums;
· performing plan/fact analysis, maintaining statistics.
REQUIREMENTS:
· bachelor’s degree (i.e. Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Finances or similar);
· a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience;
· strong knowledge of best practice procurement and supplier management techniques;
· experience in Transport/ SC operations in a procurement role;
· proven capability in change management projects;
· knowledge and experience of LEAN processes would be an advantage;
· strong interpersonal and customer service skills;
· Project Management experience and skills;
· strong negotiation skills;
· excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
· knowledge of Russian, Polish, Dutch Language would be an advantage.
