Ahlers is co-sponsor of the Institute of Transport and Maritime Management Antwerp (ITMMA).

The Ahlers sponsorship comes in the shape of the Ahlers Award, a sum of 2,500 euro in financial support of one MTMM student each year (Master in Transport and Maritime Management).

The following conditions apply:

• The applicant/student has to present a thesis (or thesis project) on a logistic issue (title/subject to be defined in consultation with Ahlers).
• “Distinction” or “cum laude” for the entire MTMM programme is a must.
• A mixed jury (2 professors of ITMMA, 2 members of the Ahlers management and 2 external jury members) will judge and decide.
• The Ahlers Award will be granted during the Closing Ceremony of the MTMM programme near the end of May each year.
