Ahlers fields a European Union core staff suited for any type of operation being needed.
The other crew, junior officers and ratings are recruited through two crewing support offices in Manila and Poland with whom Ahlers has a stable relationship. Ahlers has a policy of strict adherence to the revised STCW95 convention.
