Motor yachts loaded in Antwerp /14 Dec 2011/
2 impressive motor yachts were loaded on a Samin vessel, sailing to Beirut.
Ahlers loaded two yachts on a Samin vessel, sailing to Beirut.
One brand new Princess 72 motor yacht of 22 meters and 45 T and a second hand yacht of 16 meters and 20 T.
The Princess came from the factory in UK and arrived alongside the MV Lily.
First the cradle that was made on the quay was positioned on deck and afterwards, she was lifted on deck with slings. A diver needed to check that the slings were properly positioned to avoid problems and shifting of the slings during lifting operations.
The second yacht was loaded from the quay on a cradle which was delivered with the vessel.
Loading operations took 2 hours, including lashing and securing of the cargo.
