Bart Gruyaert travelling to Kazakhstan with the Belgian Mission and HRH Prince Filip of Belgium /17 Oct 2010/
From 1-17 October 2010, Bart Gruyaert joined the Belgian Economical Mission to Kazakhstan in the presence of HRH Prince Filip of Belgium.
Last week Bart Gruyaert, Project cargo and break bulk manager CIS, joined the Belgian Economical Mission to Kazakhstan in the presence of HRH Prince Filip. Some 70 companies joined this interesting mission to this country currently occupying the 16th place on the world ranking of oil producers. By 2012 Kazakhstan aims to be a top 10 player and by 2020 a top 5-6 producer.
Important meetings were held, among which a meeting with 5 Belgian companies (including Ahlers), the Kazakh Minister of Transport, its administration and the Belgian Prince. Goal of the meeting was to look for mutual opportunities and to increase the cooperation. Further interesting discussions with key oil companies about their future projects took place. Ahlers has local companies and know-how in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyszstan and Uzbekistan, an interesting asset for the local oil & gas customers.
