Minsk power plant on the move from China to Minsk /17 Mar 2010/

First shipment of OOG cargo dedicated for a Minsk power plant arrived in Klaipeda for trucking to Minsk. A Chipolbrok vessel transported this first shipment from China to Klaipeda.

Ahlers China signed a contract of 50,000 ft and 300 teu for a power plant project in Minsk/Belarus. Ahlers will be involved in the transport from China to Minsk via Klaipeda. The shipment consists of steel structures, machinery and control equipment divided over 7 up to 8 shipments on a bimonthly basis until July 2011.

The first vessel arrived in the port of Klaipeda with a shipment of 5,188 m3 of construction materials and a heavy crane. Ahlers Klaipeda arranged trucking until the Druzhny site.
For the crane 27 auto-trailers were used, five of which were oversized ones. Ahlers Klaipeda simultaneously organized loading, customs registration and delivery of the trucks.

The impressive project is the result of many months of excellent negotiations and a state of the art cooperation between Ahlers-staff worldwide.
