A crystal rocket, a Smurf's statue, an astronaut's suite and much more. /30 Apr 2010/

For Shanghai Expo 2010 Ahlers transported some out of the ordinary objects.

Being the preferred logistic partner of the Belgian EU Pavilion at Shanghai Expo, Ahlers arranged the transport of construction materials, exhibition materials and commercial goods from Belgium to the World Expo in Shanghai.

Recently decoration goods for the Belgian pavilion have left Belgium and will soon embellish the pavilion’s interior such as lightning materials for the garden; architecture models (of the Universities of Ghent & Brussels – CIVA & Greenbridge); a statue of the official Belgian mascot, the Smurf and pallets of Belgian chocolates.

A very impressive item Ahlers shipped is a crystal version of Tin Tin’s rocket. The rocket is 2.6 meters high and weights 200 kgs. It is entirely made out of crystal and also eyeing up a place in the Guinness Book of Records.
Quite out of the ordinary is also the consolidation shipment we organized of some impressive museum exhibits, including an authentic dinosaur head (value of € 250,000), as well as an original suite from Belgian astronaut Frank De Winne.

We facilitate this trade by taking care of the door to door transport including packaging, customs clearance and the handling of all administrative procedures required by the Chinese authorities.
