Coordination of shipments for world famous events goes on .... /18 Oct 2010/
Shanghai Expo 2010 is over, but Ahlers continues shipments for other huge events.
Along with the preparations for the return of some of the goods of the Shanghai Expo 2010, we recently arranged some impressive shipments to and out of the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi. The shipments mainly concerned lighting equipment and electrical cabling. All goods were shipped via airfreight. Some of the equipment came from Singapore, other equipment from Hamburg.
After the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games which was held on the 14th of October, Ahlers Belgium and Delhi are now arranging the re-export shipments of this cargo. Part of the cargo is going to a next event in Muscat, Oman for the Royal Tattoo Show and the Royal Horse Show. Shipments to Oman are arranged by sea and by air and are currently enroute. Second part of the cargo is being shipped back to the shipper in Europe.
Wim Copmans from Ahlers Belgium travelled to New Delhi to meet on site with the shipper’s team and the Ahlers New Delhi colleagues. A colleague from Ahlers Dubai will travel to Muscat/Oman to assist the local customer.
