143 days to go and the Shanghai World Expo will start, but Ahlers is already on the site! /07 Dec 2009/

Recently Inge Louwagie (Projectmanager) , Dai Lipeng ( General Manager Ahlers Shanghai) and Wang Weimin ( Manager Int. Forw. Dept. Ahlers Shanghai) visited the expo site and of course the European/Belgian pavilion.

For goods entering Shanghai with tax exemption, Ahlers arranges the transport from pick up in Belgium until delivery in the port of Shanghai. Ahlers also succeeded in expanding its service level towards the Belgian participants for the goods that will be sold during the expo in the different shops (chocolates, biscuits, crystal, etc). For these goods Ahlers is allowed to arrange transport until the “red” zone as well as store these goods in our own warehouse. As far as transport of construction materials arriving in the port of Shanghai, transport on the site itself and storage of the construction goods are concerned, Sinotrans has the monopoly.

At this moment we are preparing the shipment of the interior decoration goods. The first containers loaded with carpet and wooden floors will leave Antwerp soon and arrive in Shanghai on 10^th January. Furniture and decoration will be shipped as from early January.
