Ahlers successfully renewed ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 certificates /30 Jan 2007/
Both certicates perceived as very important in the chemical world.Not only to support our operations, but furthermore to make sure we protect the environment and our employees, Ahlers EDC (European Distribution Center) in Evergem/Gent successfully renewed its ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certificates. After an audit of 2 days by BVQI last year, we renewed both certificates, which are an asset towards our customers.
ISO 14001 makes sure that there is a continual control and improvement of our environmental accomplishments, while OHSAS 18001 takes care of the working conditions for our employees. In this way, we not only secure a safe way of working, but also a clean way of working. As our customers are mostly chemical companies, and the products we store hazardous, both certificates are a proof that we are the best partner for them. During audits, both certificates are an advantage and perceived as very positive, especially in a logistic and chemical world were regulations are getting more severe every year.
Both these certificates are an accomplishment of the complete Ahlers EDC team which proved not also during the audit, but every day how to receive, store and ship these dangerous goods in the best and optimal way.
