New Ahlers warehouse in St Petersburg operational as from October 2005 /04 Oct 2005/

The Ahlers Logistic Centre in St Petersburg, consisting of the already existing Unitra warehouse and 3 newbuildings is close to a very important phase in its development.

The first newbuilding module will be operational as from end October 2005.
Moreover, on Monday October 3rd the agreement was signed with the general contractor on the construction of the second newbuilding module. Construction starting as from Q4/05.

The Ahlers Logistic Centre has an excellent location in St Petersburg, close the port, airport , as well as the major transportation routes to Moscow, Kiev and Tallin. Of course the strategic important location only 800 m from St Petersburg' future ringroad is a major asset.

Technically speaking, the warehouse has a clear height of 8,6 m, 12.000 pallet positions, is frostfree and fully sprinklered, ventilated and has a fire security system. As far as security is concerned, there is 24/7 security and an alarmsystem with video-control.
