Inauguration Ahlers India South /17 Feb 2004/
As from February 1st, 2004 the Ahlers group became operational out of its newly established offices in Chennai, Cochin and Coimbatore. The offices in Chennai and Coimbatore are situated in the centre of the city, the Cochin office in the middle of the port on Kochi Mahlabar Island.
On Saturday January 31st, the new office of Ahlers India South Pvt Ltd in Chennai (HQ) has been officially inaugurated. The day started with Hindu and Christian orthodox ceremonies. In the afternoon Mr Luc Maton had the honour the cut the ribbon during the official opening. In the evening some 20 customers attended a dinner party.
The Ahlers India team will provide logistic services to customers active in the trade to and from India.
Mr John Shibu has been appointed Managing Director of Ahlers India South Pvt Ltd. Alltogether some 30 people are employed in the 3 offices.
In line with the India strategy of the group new branch offices in Calcutta, Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi will be opened very soon.
