EDC officially opened! /15 Oct 2003/

On September 25th 2003 Ahlers Logistics and Maritime Services opened it's new European Distribution Center, centrally located in Evergem/Ghent, Flanders.

Some figures:

• Total investment: € 11,9 million
• 46.237 m2 load surface area
• 24.500 m2 warehouse surface area (frost free)
• 5.600 number of pallet positions
• 16 docking pits and 8 gates

Milestones:

• 14/01/02: Architect's contract signed
• 12/06/02: Building permit granted
• 08/07/02: Environmental permit granted
• 12/07/02: Land purchase
• 17/10/02: Building contract signed
• 04/11/02: Start of construction work
• 11/07/03: Completion
• 18/07/03: Move to new premises
• 25/09/03: Official inauguration
