Ahlers and the CMDC /01 Sep 2003/

Ahlers Maritime Services was appointed as general manager for all traffic to and from the DRC, except the Antwerp-Matadi service.

Priority is given to traffic generated from North Europe + Far East/South Africa and bound for Matadi. For the scope of this activity, Ahlers Maritime Services selected Nile Dutch Africa Line as carrier for the liner traffic. This includes Nile Dutch Africa Line's agency network and incorporates the different Ahlers’ offices linked to NDS.

Traffic with final destination Lubumbashi via Dar-Es-Salaam or Durban, as well as traffic generated from South America, will be added to the range of service prior the end of 2003.
