Province of Antwerp and RDA trade mission /19 Jun 2002/

The delegation not only consisted of Belgian managers and entrepreneurs, but also of some participants of the Province of Antwerp. During their stay in St Petersburg, the trade mission also paid a visit to Astros St Petersburg. The Province of Antwerp was represented by Ludo Helsen, Member of the Executive Council and Lydia De Ridder. GOM/RDA Antwerpen was represented by Paul De Gersem, Managing Director and Wilfried Verhé.

Later on the delegation of the Province of Antwerp travelled to the Ukraine to investigate opportunities of cooperation with the local provinces/regions.

Several Ukranian provinces were visited to determine which province would be the most interesting one to establish close contacts with. The province of Antwerp is trying to establish a "link" to support Antwerp companies in their efforts to do close business with the Ukraine. Similar and very fruitful contacts already exist with other areas such as the province of St Petersburg.

In Kharkov several Belgian companies were visited, among which Interbrew but also the new Astros Kharkov warehouse facility.
