Astros opens a new office in Krasnodar, Russia /30 Sep 2002/

One of them – Kuban region, located just between equator and North Pole, in the same parallel as Northern Italy and South of France. Situated in the most southern part of Russia, it is an open door to the ocean sailing space through such ports like Novorosiysk, Tuapse, Sochi, Port Kavkaz etc. It is also a very important hub of Southern Russia railway system.

Oil, wood, grain, machinery, cement and foodstuffs from milk to fruit products are the main cargoes produced in this region. Krasnodar is the administrative and economic center of Kuban region, situated in the Black Sea. Due to its advantageous geographical location it is an important part of Southern Russia’s industry transit to worldwide destinations.

Krasnodar has been able to attract a significant amount of foreign investment which makes of this province, the third fastest growing region just after Moscow and St Petersburg.
