Ahlers Asia and Nile Dutch /01 Jun 2001/

Nile Dutch Africa Line (NDS), a major player in the West Africa trade, appointed Ahlers Asia Pte Ltd. (Singapore) as their general transhipment agent for Asia.

NDS offers a reliable and dedicated service between Asia and West Africa since 1997. Due to the increased traffic, it has been decided recently to route the cargoes via the southern hemisphere and this with a direct call on Abidjan and Douala instead of transhipping in Europe. This means that the service level will further increase and the transit time will be shortened.

Following destinations are offered with 4 sailings a month out of all major Asian ports:

  • Abidjan (direct)
  • Douala (direct)
  • Luanda (T/S via Abidjan)
  • Lobito (T/S via Abidjan)
  • Pointe Noire (T/S via Abidjan)
  • Libreville (T/S via Abidjan)
  • Freetown continues to be served via Europe until further notice
  • Namibe is called sub inducement

First sailing is mv Kota Merdesa:
at Singapore 16/06/01, eta Abidjan 23/07/01, eta Douala 27/07/01.
Followed by mv Merkur Sea:
