As from June Turkmenistan will start building an east-west pipeline with a capacity of 30 billion cubic meters per year.
The new gas pipeline will connect the eastern region of the country, where the largest natural gas reserves are concentrated, with the rapidly developing central and Caspian region of Turkmenistan.
The east-west pipeline will not only be confined to the Dovletabat field but will also connect to the South Yolöten-Osman and other gas fields in the region. Large-scale investment projects have been approved and are being put into operation.
For the new Dovletabat booster station Ahlers shipped 31 aircoolers from the factory in Jubail/Saudi Arabia via Bandar Abbas (per landing craft) to Dovletabat. The station will be operated by some 60 specialists.
