Ahlers Ukraine ships oil-drilling rig to the United Arab Emirates /18 May 2010/

Ahlers Ukraine successfully completed the shipment of an oil-drilling rig. The rig was delivered by trucks from Stryi in the Lviv region of Ukraine to the port of Odessa where the oversize machinery was loaded onboard of a vessel.

Before, the rig had been dismantled at the factory in Stryi in 53 units with a total weight 1,366 mt among which 5 heavy lift pieces of 45 mt weight and 5 oversize pieces of 4,210 m height.
With 17 trucks the units were delivered to the port of Odessa in a period of 14 days. From Odessa the equipment was shipped to UAE with a vessel chartered by the consignee.

Ahlers Ukraine continues handling this kind of shipments, particularly from Austria to Ukraine.
